Valentine's Day: For the Singles

Happy Valentine's Day peeps!

Love is in the air.

Can you feel it?

Usually, when you think of Valentine's Day, the first thing that pops in your head is having someone to celebrate it with. You think of all of the couples walking around, holding hands, completely consumed by the day of love. & that's great. Really, it is.

However, there are those of us who are living the single life to the fullest. & while there's absolutely nothing wrong with this, more often than not, I've come across people who are sad about the holiday. This is primarily because they don't have a special someone to celebrate it with. So they choose not to celebrate it at all.

Buy, why?
This holiday is about showing love. Does it really matter who it's directed to?

Family, friends, fur babies. They ALL have a special place in our hearts. So, not having a significant other should NOT be the reason your Valentine's Day is a bust. It doesn't hurt to show them a little extra affection because they deserve it, too. Even if it's just a flower, a card, & an "I love you," they will get the point & I'm sure they will be more than content. In the case of the fur babies, a toy & a treat will suffice (ha!).

& if that won't do it, you love yourself, right? It may sound super cliché, but take yourself out on a date. There. I said it. Dinner & a movie, a walk in the park, a shopping trip, or even a night in; do anything that will remind you that you're worth the effort. & anyway, you have to love yourself first before you can love someone else. So, treat yourself.

All in all, celebrate. It doesn't matter if you are in a relationship or not.

So, right now I'm planning a night in to celebrate me. I'm also preparing some cute little V-Day presents for my close peeps just to let them know I care.

What are your Valentine's Day plans? Are you celebrating by yourself or with your favorites? I'd love to hear.

Bye for now.
